In order to get started, you must :
• Make sure you have the admin access to your account.
• Login to your Facebook account(Admin) and create a Meta Account via this link.
• Verify your Meta Business account. Refer this guide to know more.
• Disable two factor authentication for the WhatsApp phone number. Refer this link to know more.
Let's get started by creating a business portfolio. If you already have a business portfolio, skip to Setting up Meta account.
In order to create a new Business portfolio, navigate to the Business manager and click on Create an account :
1. Enter your business name, your name, and your business's email address. Click on Done and verify the account via your email address.
Once you have logged into your Facebook, navigate to the developers' page and click on Get Started :
1. Confirm your account and click Continue.
2. Verify your account using your mobile number. If you have already verified your account using your mobile then you would not see this page.
3. Confirm your E-mail and select Developer and complete the registration.
1. Click on Create App, name your app and click on Next.
2. Under Use cases, select Other and on the next menu select Business as the app type.
3. Re-check your App name and E-mail. Select your business portfolio under Business portfolio and click on Create App. You'll be required to re-enter your Facebook password.
Once you have created your App, you'd be re-directed to your dashboard:
1. CIick on Set up under the Webhooks. Select WhatsApp Business Account under User drop down, and click on Subscribe to this object.
2. Enter the following text in the respective fields and click on Verify and save. On the next page, click on the Subscribe button located in front of messages.

Navigate to the Developer dashboard and click on Set up WhatsApp -> API Setup:
1. Select your Meta business account, click on continue, and scroll down to click on Add phone number.
2. Enter your Business information and click on Next. Enter a name for your WhatsApp business profile, select the time zone, and category of your business. Click on Next once you are done.
3. Add your phone number and verify. Make sure that your number is not registered either on personal or WhatsApp business. If it is registered, you will have to delete your account. Refer this link to know more. Make sure that you have disabled two factor authentication.
4. Once the phone number is registered, you can find the Phone number ID and the Business ID. Make sure to have a copy of them.
1. Click on Basic under App Settings.
2. Enter the URL link of your Terms and Privacy policy, you can use our Terms and Policy link if you do not have your own but it is recommended to add your own URL. Click on Save changes.
3. Switch on App mode.
1. Visit Facebook Business Page and select your business.
2. Click on System Users under Users Tab. Click on Add.
3. Enter a System username and select Admin under System User Role and Create System user.
4. Click Assign Assets.
5. Click on Apps and select your App. Provide full access to manage the app. Save the changes.
6. Generate a new token.
7. Select your app and set Token expiration to Never.
9. Select whatsapp_business_messaging and whatsapp_business_ management under available permissions. Generate the token.
10. Keep a note of the token ID.
It is advisable to verify your business account as well. Refer this guide to know more.
Once you have followed the above steps, make sure to have a copy of the Phone number ID, Business ID, and Access token ID.
