A Google Chat webhook is a simple, automated way to send messages from your applications directly into a Google Chat space.
By setting up a webhook, you can push information in real-time, keeping your team updated on important events and actions without manual intervention.
Follow these steps to set up a Google Chat web hook and start sending important notifications directly to your team’s chat:
1. In your Google chat window, click New chat and then Create a space. Name your space and click Create.
2. Click on your chat space's name and click on Apps & integrations -> Add webhooks. Name your webhook and click Save.
Once the web hook is set up, you can easily integrate Serviceform tools with Google chat space :
1. Copy the webhook URL from the Google chat space.
2. Navigate to your Serviceform dashboard and click Settings -> Integrations -> All integrations.
3. Click on Connect under Google chat and name your integration.
4. Click on Step 1 :
5. In step 2, select Send leads as the trigger and Create an event as the event. Click on Continue.
6. Map your message with Title, Subtitle and Body. Click on Continue.
7. Click on Test integration.
8. Navigate back to your Google chat space and check your first test message.
Congratulations! From now on, you will start receiving leads from your tool directly in your Google Chat space, helping you streamline your workflow and stay on top of important updates in real time.
Note that CRM event notifications and live chat requests cannot be sent, as these features are currently under development.
