Add videos into flow

Learn how to add videos into the conversational flow and get the stream ID.

Adding videos

Videoform can be equipped with different videos for different elements of the conversational flow. Only the following video formats are supported in Videoform:

MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI, FLV, MPEG-2 TS, MPEG-2 PS, MXF, LXF, GXF, 3GP, WebM, MPG, and QuickTime.

Here's how you can add videos into the flow and get the video's stream ID:

1. Click on flow in your tools builder interface.

2. Add a blank statement at the start of the conversation to show the background image as a thumbnail while the video loads.

3. To ensure the video looks good, remove the header text from all the elements so that it does not cover the video.

4. Hide the avatar so that it does not cover the video.

5. Select an element in the flow to which you want to prefer to add a video.

6. Scroll down till you find the background video option in the left pane and click on Add. Select your video to upload. Make sure that the video has 9:16 aspect ratio. You can make use of online video resizing tools to change the aspect ratio.

7. Click on upload and wait for a few minutes till it finishes uploading. Once it is complete, you will be able to get the stream ID and the video would appear in your videoform.

Make sure to have the video in 9:16 aspect ratio, remove the header text and avatar according to your preference. You can add videos to the pop up as well. Check out the next article to know more about it.
