Getting started with Dynamic form

Create a dynamic form within a few minutes and embed it on your own and/ or business website. Dynamic forms can be customized to serve various purposes. Here are a few ways in which Dynamic forms can be customized:

Requirements

• API Key - Generated via Mailchimp and is used to connect with Serviceform.

• List ID - Generated via Mailchimp and is used to add a new contact into your Mailchimp's audience list.

Overview

This article explores how you can add a new contact to your Mailchimp list via Serviceform.

You'll be learning about :

• Creating an API key

• Retrieving the List ID

• Integrating Mailchimp with your Serviceform tools

Creating an API key

Follow these steps to create an API key :

1. Click on your profile picture and click Profile. Select API Keys under Extras drop down.

2. Click Create a key.

3. Name your key and click Generate Key. Copy the API key. Save your key someplace secure–you won’t be able to see or copy it again. If you lose this key, you’ll need to generate a new key and update any integration that uses it.

Retrieving List ID

Follow these steps to get the List ID :

1. Click on Audience and select Subscriber preferences.

2. Click on Settings and select Audience names & defaults. Copy the ID under Audience ID.

Integrating Mailchimp with your Serviceform tools

Once you have created your API key and retrieved the Audience ID, you can easily integrate Mailchimp with Serviceform :

1. Navigate to your Serviceform Dashboard, click on Settings -> Integrations -> All integrations.

2. Click on Connect under Mailchimp and name your integration.

3. Click on Step 1 :

  • Select the tool.
  • Select All flows if you want the lead to be sent regardless of the flow or Single flow if you want the lead from the flow you have specified.

4. In step 2, select Send leads as the trigger and Add member to list as the event. Click on Continue.

5. Enter the API Key and List ID.

6. Click on Test integration.

7. Navigate back to Mailchimp dashboard and check your first test contact under Audience -> All contacts.

Congratulations! From now on, you will start receiving leads as new contacts from your tool directly in your Mailchimp contact list.
